The teams of road maintenance companies in the area are working around the clock, responding swiftly to the challenges that the prolonged rains have inflicted on the road infrastructure. The constant rainfall of the last 24 hours has led to over-saturation of the soil and subsequent landslides, posing a serious threat to the safety of travelers.

Currently, the tension at the site is palpable. The work of the teams is clearly visible, as they are trying with all their might to restore normal traffic flow. From early this morning, immediately after receiving the signals, emergency measures were taken to clear the route and ensure the safety of travelers.

According to information from the site, traffic on road II-82 Sofia - Samokov is operating without restrictions. Two teams from the road maintenance company, along with employees of the Regional Road Administration Sofia, are working tirelessly to clear the landslides and deposits that blocked the road. The goal is clear: quick and safe restoration of traffic.

The "Road Infrastructure" Agency appeals to drivers for increased caution. Drivers are required to strictly adhere to traffic rules and speed limits, as well as avoid risky overtaking maneuvers that endanger the lives and health of all road users.
