The Bulgarian Orthodox Church solemnly marked the anniversary dedicated to the Holy Seven Saints - the spiritual pioneers who formed the national literacy and cultural identity.
On July 27, 2025, temples in key Bulgarian cities such as Sofia, Plovdiv, and Veliko Tarnovo became the epicenter of commemorative services. The central temple "St. Alexander Nevsky" hosted special liturgical ceremonies dedicated to Clement, Naum, Sava, Gorazd, and Angelar.
The memory of these remarkable enlighteners was honored through prayer services, laying of flowers at memorial signs, and organizing scientific conferences. Spiritual leaders emphasized the exceptional role of the Seven Saints in preserving Bulgarian spirituality and literary tradition.
Parallel to the Orthodox liturgical practice, the day also coincided with celebrations in Western Christianity related to the memory of St. Gorazd, which further emphasized the international significance of these spiritual figures.
