Students from the "Choreography" major at Varna Free University "Chernorizec Hrabar" will participate in the prestigious national forum "Holidays of Bulgarian Professional Folk Musical and Dance Art" in Burgas, the university reports.
The event will bring together the elite of professional ensembles in Bulgaria and student formations from four higher education institutions for stage choreography from March 20 to 29. The performance of Varna Free University will take place on March 27 at the stage of the Burgas State Opera with free admission.
The university's academic dance theater will present established works by Prof. Peter Angelov and Mario Egov, as well as three premiere choreographic productions. These are "Northern Games" to music by Yordan Danev, a work by Associate Professor Dr. Ivaylo Ivanov; "Kabilene Games" from the same composer with choreography by Senior Assistant Professor Dr. Dilyan Galiev; and "Vaya Games" with music by Associate Professor Dr. Petko Krastev and production once again by Dilyan Galiev.
On the eve of the 35th anniversary of Varna Free University, the professional direction "Music and Dance Art" received one of the highest ratings for program accreditation in the country.
