The Extradition of Stoyan Mavrodiev
The former executive director of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB), Stoyan Mavrodiev, has been handed over to Bulgaria by the Serbian authorities. The handover procedure took place at the Kalotina border crossing, where identification was carried out via fingerprints.
Following an examination at a medical facility, Mavrodiev will be escorted directly to the National Investigation Service (NSlS).
Mavrodiev was detained in Belgrade at the beginning of June upon arriving on a flight from Dubai. The prosecution is expected to formally charge him for the granting of a large unsecured loan.
