Deadline for Changes in Candidate Lists for MPs Expires Today

Today is the last day for changes in the candidate lists for the early parliamentary elections on April 19. The Central Election Commission (CEC) drew the numbers of the parties and coalitions, and the election campaign begins at midnight. A total of 24 formations will participate in the elections.

The deadline for making changes to the candidate lists for MPs expires today. This is stated in the election schedule.

Until today, if any of the candidates on a registered candidate list of a party or coalition withdraws, the respective formation can propose another candidate, who is registered by a decision of the regional election commission. Also, until today, upon refusal of registration or upon declaration of invalidity of the registration of a candidate, the party or coalition that proposed him can propose another candidate for registration.

The election campaign will open at midnight.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) drew the numbers of the parties and coalitions in the ballot for the early parliamentary elections on April 19 yesterday. The vote will be the eighth since 2021.

A total of 24 political formations will participate in the elections – 14 parties and 10 coalitions.
