Key deadlines for the October 25 elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has adopted the official schedule for the upcoming presidential and vice-presidential elections, which will be held on October 25, 2026. Preparations for the vote are already in full swing.

Important: All participants in the electoral process must strictly adhere to the deadlines set by the CEC to ensure their right to participate.

Registration of parties and coalitions

By September 9, parties and coalitions must submit their registration applications to the CEC. By the same deadline, the commission will complete the registration procedure for political entities to participate in the vote.

Organization and polling stations

How will election day proceed?

Voting will begin exactly at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until 8:00 p.m. If there are still voters waiting in front of the polling station, election day may be extended, but no later than 9:00 p.m. The same rules apply to polling stations abroad, adjusted for local time.

Results and awareness campaign

The CEC is committed to announcing the final results within three days after election day. In parallel, a public procurement procedure will begin for an information campaign to explain to citizens their rights and the technical aspects of the voting process.
