Bulgarian citizens abroad can submit applications to vote in the parliamentary elections until March 24, announced the deputy chairman and spokesperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Rositsa Mateva, yesterday.
According to the schedule for the April 19 elections, a Bulgarian citizen who has the right to vote and wishes to vote outside the country declares in writing on a form or through an electronic application via the CEC website by March 24.
Written applications can be submitted in writing through diplomatic and consular representations or electronically on the CEC website. The electronic submission of a voting application will be activated at 00:00. The deadline for submitting applications is March 24, Mateva said.
The locations and number of polling stations that will be opened will be known on March 28 with a decision of the CEC.
The CEC announced yesterday that 24 political formations will participate in the April 19 elections. Today, the CEC's explanatory campaign for the vote begins.
