Traffic on the Trakia Motorway at the 69th kilometer has been suspended due to a fire in dry grass and vineyards. The exit to Septemvri near Tserovo has also been restricted.

Critical situation on the Trakia motorway

Traffic at the 69th kilometer of the Trakia motorway has been completely suspended due to a large-scale fire in the area, reported Miroslav Stoyanov, spokesperson for the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Pazardzhik.

In order to ensure more effective and safe firefighting operations, the exit for Septemvri at the Tserovo junction has also been temporarily closed.

Details of the incident

The fire broke out in the lane heading towards Burgas, near the exit for Velingrad. According to preliminary information, the fire has engulfed dry grass, and the flames have spread to nearby vineyards.

Firefighting crews are on site, working to contain the fire and prevent further risks to drivers.
