The political debate around the delivery of specialized firefighting equipment is gaining momentum after sharp criticism from leading political figures. Member of Parliament Kalin Stoyanov from "DPS-New Beginning" issued a stern warning about the need for urgent actions in the field of fire safety.

In an official statement on Facebook, Stoyanov emphasized the critical situation arising from delayed public procurement. According to him, the problem has its genesis during his tenure as Minister of Interior under the "Environment" Program, with the equipment still not delivered two years later.

The main obstacle lies in the extremely complex administrative procedures and continuous legal disputes between potential contractors. Numerous appeals between participating companies block the effective acquisition of necessary firefighting equipment.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov also joined the discussion, holding a working meeting with Interior Minister Daniel Mitov. Borissov openly criticized the existing system, pointing out that hundreds of millions of levs have been "lost" in endless administrative procedures.

Kalin Stoyanov insists on immediate short-term and long-term solutions. He emphasized the urgency of the situation, warning that delays could have serious consequences for national security and fire protection.

Political circles expect Minister Mitov to take concrete steps to overcome administrative inertia. The proposal includes achieving parliamentary consensus and directly determining an executor who will guarantee the rapid delivery of the necessary equipment.

The key question remains whether political parties will be able to overcome their internal contradictions and achieve unity in the name of national interest and public safety.
