The Council of Ministers of Bulgaria took a decisive step in support of Ukrainian refugees by approving a large-scale social package for their integration on July 18, 2025. The new program covers a wide range of services aimed at the comprehensive adaptation of forced migrants.
According to official data from the State Agency for Refugees, over 60,000 Ukrainian citizens currently reside in the country, planning a long-term stay. The developed measures are focused on creating real opportunities for their social and professional realization.
The new package includes state-funded training - language courses, professional qualification, and targeted support when entering the labor market. In parallel, psychological consultations and expanded access to health services will be provided.
The initiative is being implemented through active partnership with international organizations and non-governmental structures, as a direct response to the humanitarian challenges generated by the military conflict in Ukraine.
