Social work may not be visible, but without it society falls apart," wrote Denitsa Sacheva, chair of the Parliamentary Social Commission, on Facebook for World Social Work Day and Social Worker.

"Today is the day of people who stay when everyone else leaves. Those who don't ask 'is it worth it,' but 'how can I help?' Who enter the most difficult human stories -- and stay there until there's a chance," Sacheva writes.

According to her, "we expect social workers to solve society's toughest problems... with the fewest resources." If we want a stable society -- we need to stop applauding them only once a year and start supporting them every day, says the chair of the Social Commission.

"Happy day to the social worker! Thank you," Sacheva concludes her post.

Social workers were also greeted by acting Minister of Social Affairs Hasan Ademov.

In the system of the Agency for Social Assistance, 3,019 social workers work. Of these, 436 hold the position "Chief Social Worker," 16 -- "Senior Social Worker" and 2,568 -- "Social Worker," said officials from the ASA to BTA on World Social Work Day, which is celebrated today.
