It is sunny and almost calm on the Black Sea coast today, with highs of 9–10C, forecasters say. The sea is 13–15C.
Tomorrow morning will start sunny on the coast, but clouds will build up quickly. A light wind will blow from the south-southeast, and temperatures will rise to 12–13C.
Elsewhere in Bulgaria it is sunny with almost no wind today. In the west, fog covers many places this afternoon, and in some areas it barely lifts all day. Highs range from 6C to 13C, with about 8C in Sofia.
Showers are likely in places in the west overnight, as clouds move in from the west. Fog will form on the plains in the morning. Lows will range from minus 1C to 4C, with about 1C in Sofia and 2–7C on the Black Sea coast.
Tomorrow will be cloudy, with rain in places in the western half of the country and a light wind from the south-southwest. Highs will range from 6C to 12C, with about 9C in Sofia.
Clouds will cover the mountains. In the western and central ranges, rain above about 1,700 metres will turn to snow. A moderate southwest wind will blow in the mountains, shifting to west-northwest on the highest peaks.
Overnight into Tuesday, the rain will move east and stop in eastern areas before noon. Clouds will then break up and thin for a time, with a light to moderate wind from the south. Lows on Tuesday will be 2–7C, and highs 10–15C.
The chance of rain is lower on Wednesday and Thursday, but light showers are possible.
It will keep getting warmer until Friday, when lows will be close to 10C and highs up to 20C. Rain will fall in more places, mainly in southern Bulgaria.
