Students along the Black Sea coast will welcome the first day of school with sunny weather and temperatures up to 23° in Burgas. Despite the pleasant sea water, which remains between 23° and 25°, cloudiness will increase in the afternoon, and light rain is possible along the southern coast.
Black Sea Coast
According to media reports, it will be mostly sunny during the day, although there will be temporary cloudy areas that will become more noticeable in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures in the region will range from 21° to 24°, reaching 23° in Burgas, while minimum values will be around 15°. Light rain is possible in certain parts of the southern coast.
Sea
The sea water temperature will be between 23°-25°, and the sea state will be between 2 and 3 Beaufort.
In the country
Maximum temperatures across the country will range between 21° and 26°, with around 22° expected in Sofia. Cloud cover will be broken, being particularly significant over the northwestern regions before spreading to many other parts of the country after midday. In the eastern half, a light to moderate northeasterly wind will blow, while light rain is possible in certain areas, mainly in the mountains of Western Bulgaria.
Mountains
Light snow is expected on Musala peak, while the rest of the mountains will see variable cloudiness and local light showers. The wind will be light to moderate, primarily from the east-northeast, while a northwesterly wind will be observed at higher altitudes. Regarding temperatures, it will be around 17° at an altitude of 1200 meters and around 10° at 2000 meters.
