A dramatic incident shook the resort complex "Sunny Beach" on Tuesday afternoon when a taxi driver became the target of a firearm threat by two clients. Police officers from the Nesebar District Department were notified of the crime and immediately took action to identify the perpetrators.
According to initial data, a 33-year-old taxi driver was subjected to aggressive behavior by a 43-year-old man from Plovdiv and a 39-year-old woman from Sofia. The incident occurred in the area of a local gas station, opposite a popular hotel complex.
Official sources confirmed that among the participants was the well-known pop singer Zhana Bergendorf. During the transport, the two passengers demonstrated extremely arrogant behavior towards the driver. When stopping, they correctly paid for the taxi service, but immediately after leaving the vehicle, they took unexpected actions.
The man unexpectedly pulled a gun from his bag and pointed it at the driver, while the woman tried to open the driver's door. It was established that the weapon was a gas gun, which was subsequently hidden on the roof of a warehouse building next to the gas station.
Police officers quickly reacted and detained the two offenders for 24 hours. A pre-trial proceedings have been immediately initiated for threatening and unlawful actions. Additional investigative measures are pending to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident.
This case once again raises the question of personal safety for workers in the transportation services sector and the need for increased control in resort complexes during the summer season.
