On June 18, 2025, Tech Funding News reported that the Swedish deeptech startup Embedl has raised €5.5 million in a pre-Series A round, funded by Chalmers Ventures and other European funds. The company's total funding now reaches €12 million.

Embedl is a spin-out from Chalmers University and is developing AI solutions that run directly on edge devices - without the need for cloud infrastructure. The goal is to make applications run efficiently, economically, and with low latency, improving the competitiveness of industrial IoT and smart devices in the global market.

The raised funding will accelerate the development of software and hardware solutions based on Embedl's Edge AI technologies.
