A drastic violation of traffic rules was recorded yesterday afternoon in the Black Sea town of Tsarevo. Police officers from the District Department conducted a routine check that revealed an extremely risky case of drunk driving.
The incident occurred around 4:35 PM on Mikhail Gerdzikov Street, where a patrol stopped a passenger car with a Burgas license plate. Behind the wheel was a 55-year-old local resident, whose behavior immediately raised suspicion among the police officers.
The conducted alcohol test confirmed the worst fears – the driver was operating the vehicle with an incredibly high alcohol concentration of 3.21 per mille. This value significantly exceeds the permitted norms and represents a serious threat to road safety.
Immediate legal actions were taken. The offender was detained for the maximum prescribed period of 24 hours. His vehicle was seized according to the established administrative procedure, which further guarantees the prevention of potential future incidents.
A rapid investigation was initiated in the case, which will establish all circumstances surrounding this dangerous attempt at drunk driving. The police issue an extremely serious warning to all road participants to strictly adhere to road safety rules.
