Criminal Laboratory Under Cover: How the Police Uncovered a Greenhouse Near Varna
Varna criminal investigators achieved a significant success in the fight against drug trafficking by uncovering a large-scale cannabis greenhouse on a private property in the Varna region. The operation concluded with the discovery of a significant quantity of narcotic substances and ammunition.
During the investigations, it was established that this is the third similar greenhouse uncovered by Varna officials since the beginning of the current year.
Scale of Illegal Production
As part of the action, Ministry of Interior officials discovered an impressive infrastructure for illegal production:
- Over 400 plants: Plants in various stages of development were found, indicating a long-term cultivation process.
- Significant amount of cannabis: A dry cannabis mass weighing approximately 7 kg was seized.
- Technological equipment: The greenhouse was not merely improvised, but featured a specialized system for controlling humidity and temperature, as well as a powerful ventilation system.
Detention and Discovered Ammunition
In addition to the narcotic substances, investigators also found ammunition at the site. The owner of the property is a 46-year-old man from Varna, who already has a criminal record. He was detained for 24 hours and is expected to be charged as part of the ongoing investigations.
Additional checks are currently being conducted to determine whether there are other participants in the organized group for drug production.
