Appealing the detention measure
The man accused of the serious accident on the Trakia motorway near Yambol, in which a man and two children died, is appealing his detention measure of "remand in custody." His appeal will be heard by the Appellate Court in Burgas on July 2 at 2:00 PM.
The incident, which shocked the public, occurred on June 24, when a heavy goods vehicle entered the oncoming lane after the driver lost control.

On June 25, the District Court in Yambol imposed the most severe measure, citing the risk that the accused might abscond or commit another crime. The accused himself expressed regret and claimed he did everything in his power to control the truck.
