The situation on the republican road network is normal, said the outgoing Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Ivanov, to journalists in Shumen.
According to him, it has been like this since yesterday. Road maintenance companies are loaded to the maximum. As of 11:00 AM, we have about 485 machines available, Ivanov announced. He is in Shumen for the opening of a new indoor swimming pool complex.
“Yesterday we also held operational meetings, talks with Regional Road Administrations, with the management of the “Road Infrastructure” Agency, as tomorrow snowfalls are also expected in many parts of the country - so that there are no situations in which roads could be closed. I think they understood what needs to be done. They are stocked with the necessary materials, as well as equipment, so that those who travel can move unhindered from one point to another. I think we have provided everything necessary so that there are no problems on the republican road network under these winter conditions,” noted Ivanov.
