Ukraine is under pressure from the US to agree to a framework for a peace agreement with Russia. The pressure is much heavier than before.

Threat to stop aid

The Donald Trump administration has issued a direct threat: if Kyiv does not accept the plan, the US may cut off intelligence support and arms supplies. A source clarifies that Washington is insisting on signing by next Thursday, before Thanksgiving.

Pressure before

This is not the first time Trump has used intelligence information as a tool. After a public clash with Zelensky, Trump ordered a halt to intelligence briefings. Limiting aid led to Russian advances on the front and criticism.

Aggressive pressure

The current pressure is more aggressive: “The US leaves no room for delay: sign or lose support.”

Ukraine is studying the plan

Kyiv is studying the American-Russian peace plan of 28 points, but has reservations about territorial concessions, the status of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and security guarantees.
