Sanction for poor road repair in Vratsa region

The Road Infrastructure Agency will impose financial sanctions on a construction company due to poor repair of a secondary road between two settlements in the Vratsa region.

Experts from the Regional Road Management - Vratsa identified serious violations in the implementation of road activities on third-class route III-133. The repair works, carried out by the consortium DZZD "Northwest 2024", will be subjected to thorough control and subsequent financial correction.

The problematic section covers a 6-kilometer segment between the villages of Monastiriste and Byrzina, specifically from the 22nd to the 28th kilometer. The activities include patching the asphalt surface, leveling road shoulders, and removing roadside vegetation.

The value of the contract amounts to about 300,000 leva. The sanction will be determined after a thorough analysis of the performed activities and in accordance with the contractual clauses. All identified irregularities will be corrected at the contractor's expense.

The management of the Road Infrastructure Agency emphasizes that the quality of road infrastructure is a priority and such violations will not be tolerated.
