Burgas divers will once again participate in the attractive retro diving on the occasion of Burgas' holiday - Nikulden. The event is scheduled for 11:00 AM on December 6, 2025 /Saturday/ on the platform of the Bridge. Its organizers are the NGO “Friends of the Sea”.

The divers will again enter the sea with retro equipment from the 60s and will demonstrate how it is used. The equipment includes a dry mid-diving hermetic suit, which is entered through its upper part. To do this, the help of three people is needed to assist. The helmet, which is placed on the head, is integrated with a wired communication system and a manual valve for releasing the pressure in the suit, which is controlled by the diver's pressure. In order for him to sink, lead weights are placed on his chest and back. Each of them weighs 16 kg. Finally, the diver puts on shoes weighing about twenty kilograms. They protect his feet and provide him with a vertical position while he is on the bottom.

The divers will also present an interesting retro diving system – a closed cycle. In it, with chemical means, carbon dioxide is absorbed from the exhaled air and after enrichment with oxygen, it is inhaled again.

This time, each of the participants will receive a certificate, certifying that they have participated in the attractive demonstration.
