Drivers must be extremely cautious this week on the Hemus Highway, where large-scale infrastructure activities are upcoming. Road experts report phased changes in traffic that will affect various sections of the highway.
From July 14 to 16, between 10:00 and 17:00, repair work on the asphalt surface will be carried out. Specific sections include the stretches from kilometer 404 to 405 in the direction of Varna and between kilometers 406 and 407 in the direction of Sofia.
During the interventions, vehicles will be redirected to the overtaking lane. Drivers should exercise extreme caution and follow the introduced temporary organizational schemes.
Additional restrictions are also planned for the period from July 14 to 18, again between 10:00 and 17:00. In the section between kilometers 407 and 412 in the direction of Sofia, one of the lanes will be narrowed due to roadside vegetation removal and replacement of a protective network.
The Road Infrastructure Agency urgently appeals to all traffic participants to be extremely cautious, observe the established speed limits, and avoid risky maneuvers.
