The water company in Burgas is starting a large-scale renovation that will affect one of the main road arteries in the city. ViK Burgas announced that a complete replacement of the industrial water main located under "Maria Luiza" Blvd. is forthcoming.
Traffic restrictions and repair deadline
Given the seriousness of the construction activities, a temporary traffic arrangement will be introduced, which will be in effect from 09:30 on Tuesday, August 26. The repair is expected to be completed on Friday, September 12, by 17:00. During this period, drivers and pedestrians will have to comply with the changes.
The restrictions specifically affect the section of "Maria Luiza" Blvd. between "San Stefano" Blvd. and "Tsar Samuil" St. The right lane, which leads in the direction from "San Stefano" Blvd. to "Ivan Vazov" Blvd., will be closed to traffic. This lane is on the side of the railway lines, which further complicates the situation for those passing through.
Vehicle traffic will be two-way in the opposite lane - the one that generally leads from "Ivan Vazov" Blvd. to "San Stefano" Blvd. ViK Burgas urges citizens to carefully follow the placed road signs and markings to avoid traffic jams and incidents.
