A large-scale renovation of the sidewalks on Angel Dimitar Street is beginning, which will transform the appearance of a key section of the city's infrastructure. Work starts in the section between Baba Tonka and Bratsigovo streets, where a complete renovation of the pedestrian zones is planned.
Along with the reconstruction of the sidewalks, the establishment of 40 parking spaces for parallel parking is also planned, which will meet the needs of the residents and guests of the area. However, this is only part of the planned transformation. Within the framework of the project, 52 new trees will be planted, which will contribute to improving the ecological situation and will add freshness to the urban environment.
After the completion of this stage, the repair activities will continue in the next section, which will reach the intersection with Emona Street. Intense work is already underway at the site. Teams of workers and construction equipment are busy preparing the terrain and laying the new pavements.
We remind you that the first phase of the repair started at the end of June. At that time, the sidewalks in the area around the local school were renovated. This first step was a signal for the beginning of a wider project aimed at improving the conditions for pedestrians and motorists.
The ecological aspect of the project is of particular importance. The planting of trees is in accordance with the specifics of the underground infrastructure. Since high-voltage cables pass on the north side of the street, ornamental trees and shrubs will be planted. These plant species have been selected because of their smaller root system, which will prevent possible damage to underground communications. On the south side of the street, where conditions allow, magnificent plane trees will be planted, which will contribute to the comfort and aesthetic impact of the street.
After the sidewalk repairs are completed, a complete repaving of the road surface is also planned. This is an important step towards ensuring safer and more comfortable travel for all road users. The ongoing repair promises to transform Angel Dimitar Street into a modern and attractive area.
