Ratification of an Agreement for Accession to the Peace Board: Analysis of the Vote in the National Assembly

The National Assembly mandated the Council of Ministers to submit a draft law for the ratification of an agreement for Bulgaria's accession to the Peace Board. The vote showed support from GERB-SDS, DPS, ITN, a portion of BSP, and independent MPs.

After nearly 2 hours of debate, the National Assembly made a decision to ratify the agreement for Bulgaria's accession to the Peace Board.

The law was adopted with the support of 100 members of parliament from GERB-SDS, DPS-New Beginning, There Is Such a People, as well as part of BSP-United Left and five independents.

The decision obliges the Council of Ministers to submit a draft law for the ratification of the agreement.
