The management of the multi-profile hospital "St. Anna" in Varna today came out with new proposals to the departing doctors from the pediatric surgery department. The letter, distributed to the media in the city, is signed by the executive director of the company, Dr. Krasimir Petrov. The reaction of the management is dictated by the tension surrounding the closure of the pediatric surgery department from March 1st.

The director of the hospital extends an invitation to the departing doctors for a conversation, as in recent days they have announced on social networks that the problem that led them to this decision is the lack of opportunities for professional development due to the limited number of operating days on a weekly basis. The management expresses its readiness to guarantee the team the opportunity to open the operating schedule to three or more operating days. The hospital reminds that the trainees in practice have the opportunity to train in one of the established hospital bases, as a significant part of the medical team of "St. Anna" has an academic and scientific career.

"If the opportunity for more surgical activity and the normal course of the specializations of the young colleagues from the department that have already started does not prove to be a sufficient motive for the team of "Pediatric Surgery" to reconsider leaving the hospital, we rely on their final decision to be in the interest of young people with children in the city and region and that they continue to work in Varna. In addition to the high-tech university hospital "Sveta Marina", which is also among the largest bases for training young doctors in the country, several other multi-profile medical institutions in the city also offer opportunities for work and development of pediatric surgeons," is stated in the open letter of the management.
