Experts from the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) and the Regional Health Insurance Fund in Burgas are holding a public meeting today dedicated to important issues related to health insurance and patient rights. The initiative starts promptly at 18:00 in the area in front of the "Flora" exposition center, located in the Sea Garden of the city of Burgas.

A number of officials will take part in the discussion with citizens, including the Governor of the NHIF Dr. Asen Medzhidiev, the Mayor of Burgas Municipality Dimitar Nikolov, and the Regional Governor of Burgas Region Diko Dikov. Joining them are a team of representatives from the regional health insurance fund, as well as actress and writer Zdrava Kamenova, who is a partner in the project's implementation.

The forum is focused on a wide range of topics, including:

During the event, attendees will be able to ask questions and take advantage of individual consultations with the experts. Special attention will be paid to activating the "eZdrave" mobile application, which provides direct access to electronic health records and allows for the tracking of medical activities reported to the NHIF. The activation process has been simplified, as a qualified electronic signature is not required. Through the application, parents also gain access to the electronic records of their children under the age of 18.

These efforts are part of the "NHIF with you" project, which is part of the larger national campaign "NHIF for you," aimed at supporting patients by providing useful information and explanatory publications. The effectiveness of the campaign regarding digitalization has been proven — within just the last two weeks, through the joint actions of the NHIF and the Ministry of Health, more than 14,000 citizens have successfully activated the "eZdrave" application.
