Radev and Trump: Bulgaria towards the Council for Peace and Dialogue for Gaza

President Radev received an invitation from Trump to participate in the Council for Peace. Peace initiatives for Gaza and future cooperation with the US were discussed.

President Rumen Radev received a letter from US President Donald Trump, inviting Bulgaria to join the founding countries of the Council for Peace. Radev will be the representative of our country in the organization. The Council aims for international cooperation for a peaceful resolution of military conflicts in Gaza and other regions.

In his response, Radev emphasizes the importance of Trump's peace initiatives for de-escalation of conflicts. He expresses hope for sustainable peace solutions in Gaza and a global plan. He also highlights the recognition of Bulgarian diplomacy with the appointment of a Bulgarian diplomat as High Representative for Gaza.

Radev also reviewed the political situation in Bulgaria, including the government's resignations and his own resignation. He expresses an expectation for a stable institutional environment for cooperation with the United States in the name of peace and security.
