Traffic Accidents in Burgas Region: Casualties and Calls for Increased Caution

Several traffic accidents with casualties have been registered in the Burgas region. The police are calling for increased caution, especially when using electric vehicles.

In recent days, several road traffic accidents have been registered in the Burgas region, with casualties, but without danger to life.

On March 1st, around 01:02 a.m. on Stefan Stambolov boulevard in Burgas, in the area near BSU, a 16-year-old young man fell with an individual electric vehicle after losing control. He sustained abrasions to the head and was examined at UMBAL – Burgas, after which he was released for home treatment.

Later that day, around 5:34 p.m., in the area between the villages of Asparuhovo and Detelina in the municipality of Karnobat, a car driven by a 44-year-old man crashed independently. The driver was admitted for treatment at UMBAL – Burgas with a fractured lower leg and contusions on the head, without danger to life. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated in the case.

On February 23rd, around 07:26 a.m. in Kameno, a car driven by a 55-year-old man, hit a 58-year-old pedestrian who was crossing the street improperly. The woman initially refused hospitalization, but on February 25th, she was admitted to the "Heart and Brain" hospital on an emergency basis with a broken shoulder and head trauma, without danger to life.

The police and road authorities call on drivers to exercise increased caution, especially when using electric vehicles and in populated areas.
