Citizens gathered to protest on the road to the construction materials factory in the "Cherno More" district, demanding a major repair of the Burgas - Kableshkovo road. "This is a main alternative road to Sunny Beach and the Northern Black Sea coast," commented Lyudmil Iliev, a representative of the organizers, to journalists. He added that the protesters want a complete and quality repair and specific deadlines for the start and completion of it. "Especially here, in front of the "Keramika" factory, we want the road to be widened and a left lane to be designated so that machines and large trucks can enter the factory, because in the summer large preconditions for traffic accidents are created," Iliev added. The protesters also want the installation of solar lighting. They commented that the patching of the road is partial and insufficient, and that the people who use it daily travel in fear for their lives. According to Iliev, there are consequences for the cars, and when it rains, the road floods to halfway because of the poor condition of the ditches, which, according to him, are completely missing, after about 20-year-old trees can be seen in them. "We pay taxes and vignette fees, and in return we get absolutely nothing," Iliev added. The patching of the potholes on the road was a result of a video clip made by them, which became popular online, but this is not enough, commented another representative of the organizers, Ivan Kolev. "There were potholes with a depth of 13-15 cm. Towards Kableshkovo, there was a hole with such a depth that if a tire went in, it wouldn't come out. It was certainly over 20 cm," Kolev commented. The protesters added that they use the road daily, and there is no suitable alternative. In connection with the protest, the organizers sent a petition to the "Road Infrastructure" Agency with 3641 participants, who are demanding that the road surface be repaired. The organizers add that their demands are not political, but they are participating in the protest as independent citizens.

This is the second protest with the same demand within a month. At the end of February, residents of Kableshkovo and the surrounding settlements again expressed their dissatisfaction with the condition of the road.
