Employees from the Executive Agency “Automobile Administration” went out on a protest in Burgas to express their dissatisfaction with the working conditions and the size of their salaries.
The protesters are demanding a 50% increase in basic salaries, emphasizing that the current wages do not reflect the real workload and responsibility of their work.
“We want equal work and equal pay. We are demanding a 50% increase in salaries,” said Milena Dimova from “Automobile Administration”.
They are also demanding equal conditions, as they believe there is inequality in the system.
“Because a certain position, for example, of 5 inspectors, the five of them receive different salaries. That's what we want, equalization of wages with the direct position,” Dimova added.
From her words, it became clear that there is a shortage of staff.
"I have been working in DAI (Road Transport Administration) for 15 years, I feel disadvantaged and I support us having equal work. The entire Burgas region cannot be covered by only these two teams of colleagues in the control,” said Ivelina Videva.
