Prosecutor's investigation into the "Sinemorets" case
The District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas has initiated an investigation following media reports that revealed suspicious practices regarding the granting of state forest land near Sinemorets. The investigation focuses on the leasing of properties for camping at prices that appear to be significantly below market value.
The Prosecutor's Office is requesting full documentation on the case to determine whether crimes have been committed in the management of state resources.
What measures have been taken?
- Investigation of documentation: The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas will collect all documents related to the leasing of the land.
- Taking of statements: Employees involved in the procedures will be questioned regarding their actions or potential inaction.
- Administrative control: A review of the legality of all issued administrative acts will be conducted.
Representatives from the RIEW, the Executive Forest Agency (EFA), the Municipality of Tsarevo, the DNTSC, and the Burgas Regional Administration are participating in the investigation. The goal is to clarify the objective truth and determine whether there has been any misuse of public resources.
