The District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas has launched massive inspections due to allegations of leasing a forest area near Sinemorets for a campsite at undervalued prices. The Ministry of Interior, the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water, and the Executive Forest Agency are involved.

Prosecutor's investigation into the "Sinemorets" case

The District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas has initiated an investigation following media reports that revealed suspicious practices regarding the granting of state forest land near Sinemorets. The investigation focuses on the leasing of properties for camping at prices that appear to be significantly below market value.

The Prosecutor's Office is requesting full documentation on the case to determine whether crimes have been committed in the management of state resources.

What measures have been taken?

Representatives from the RIEW, the Executive Forest Agency (EFA), the Municipality of Tsarevo, the DNTSC, and the Burgas Regional Administration are participating in the investigation. The goal is to clarify the objective truth and determine whether there has been any misuse of public resources.
