The prosecution did not issue an arrest warrant for Russian citizen Oleg Nevzorov, it became clear from information provided by the competent institutions. His name gained notoriety due to investigations in Varna, but at the moment he is not detained by order of the state prosecution.
According to law enforcement data, Oleg Nevzorov was located by Ministry of Interior officers immediately after his entry into Bulgaria on June 16, 2026. The Varna District Prosecutor's Office, which has jurisdiction over the case, was immediately notified of the police actions.
After being located, Nevzorov was first questioned by Ministry of Interior officers. Later, he was "made available for questioning" before representatives of the prosecution. Throughout the entire time until he was handed over to the prosecutorial authorities, the man was under constant surveillance by the internal affairs ministry, the institutions clarified.
According to information circulated by media outlets, no arrest warrant was issued by the prosecution against Oleg Nevzorov. This means that after the procedural actions were carried out, he was not left in custody by prosecutorial order.
It is recalled that the prosecution is the only body that, by law, has the authority to issue an arrest warrant in such cases. The lack of such a warrant highlights the state prosecution's choice to work on the Nevzorov case at this stage without a "detention" remand measure.
