New arrest for the former director of ViK-Burgas
The former executive director of ViK-Burgas, Tsvetan Mirchev, has been detained in custody again. The information was confirmed by the prosecutor's office in the seaside city, and the Burgas District Court is expected to review his remand measure tomorrow.
We remind you that just a month ago – on July 3, Mirchev was arrested along with ten employees of the company, after which he was released on bail of 2000 euros.
Main charges against Mirchev and ViK employees
The District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas has brought charges against Mirchev and two other employees of the water utility company. They are accused of:
- Participation in an organized criminal group (OCG);
- Trading in influence;
- Official misconduct.
Tomorrow's court session is expected to shed more light on the investigation and the future remand measure for the accused.
