The Social Assistance Agency (ASP) has published information on applying for the Program for compensating individuals for increased fuel prices after the outbreak of the conflict in the Middle East.
What is the program?
- Goal: To support low-income individuals, car owners, with high fuel prices.
- Compensation: Monthly assistance of 20 euros.
- Activation: When the average price of gasoline A95H or diesel exceeds 1.60 euros for three consecutive days.
- Who is eligible? Individuals with a monthly gross income of up to 652.41 euros (for 2025) or 537.88 euros (for 2024).
How to apply?
- No application needed: Recipients of assistance from the ASP in January and February 2026 will receive compensation automatically.
- Application-declaration: Other applicants must submit an application to the DSP at their current address.
- Form: Published in the "Social Assistance" section.
- Submitting applications: In person, through a postal operator or electronically (with a qualified electronic signature (QES), PIN or National Revenue Agency (NRA)).
Payment: By bank transfer or at a post office branch.
