Today, our country will be under the influence of a dynamic meteorological situation, BNT reported.

In the morning, the northwestern regions will wake up to the sounds of rainfall, accompanied by a gradually strengthening northwest wind. Minimum temperatures will range between 11° and 16°, with about 14° expected in the capital.

A noticeable decrease in daytime temperatures is expected, ranging between 21° and 27°, reaching 21° in Sofia.

Rainfall will continue throughout the day, spreading from northwest to southeast. It will be most intense in the northeastern regions and in the mountains, where thunderstorms are not excluded. Around midday, the cloud cover will begin to break up rapidly and decrease.

Black Sea Coast Situation

The situation on the Black Sea coast will unfold according to a different scenario. The morning will be sunny, but around midday an increase in cloud cover will be observed, foreshadowing rain starting from the Northern Black Sea coast and spreading southwards by evening. The wind will be temporarily strong, turning northwest after midday. Maximum temperatures will remain around 24° - 26°, and the sea water temperature will be between 23° and 24°. The sea state will be around 2 points.

In the Mountains

The mountains will also be affected by the unstable climate. Cloudiness and rainfall are expected in the morning, with mainly thunderstorms predicted in the Rhodope Mountains. Here too, after midday, the cloud cover will begin to dissipate. A moderate to strong northwest wind will blow, bringing cooler air. Temperatures in the mountain resorts will be relatively low, ranging between 10° and 17°.

Later Forecast

An improvement in the weather is expected by the end of the week, with predominantly sunny weather and weakening wind. Mornings will be cool, with minimum temperatures of 5° - 6° in some valleys, reaching 16° - 17° on the Black Sea coast. Daily maximum temperatures will range between 22° and 27°.

The weekend will bring a complete weakening of the wind, with more significant cloudiness predicted in the mornings, mainly in the eastern regions. In some places in the lowlands and valleys, visibility may be reduced. Temperatures will rise, and are again expected to exceed 30 degrees.
