Port of Burgas: A Strategic Point for Logistics and Tourism
"Port of Burgas" EAD is becoming a key intermodal hub, uniting rail, maritime, road, and air transport. This was stated by Maria Belkoleva, Chair of the Board of Directors, during the Fifth International Forum for Air Transport Connectivity and Tourism (ATCT).
"Port of Burgas" has the potential to be a strategic logistics hub between Europe and Asia, combining operational activity with modern urban functions.
"Super Burgas": Public Space and Infrastructure
The transformation of the port area includes the development of the "Super Burgas" project. The already functioning Congress Center and the renovated passenger terminal consolidate the connection between the urban environment and the port. Key advantages:
- Direct proximity to the Sea Garden and the city center.
- Integration with European transport corridors.
- Highly efficient rail and road connectivity.
Restart of Cruise Tourism in the Black Sea
As a full member of the international organization "MedCruise," the port is working actively to attract new operators. The focus is aimed at:
- Exchange of global practices for a secure cruise destination.
- Digitalization of port processes.
- Expansion of terminal capacity.
With these strategic initiatives, Burgas solidifies its position as a leading maritime destination capable of meeting the requirements of modern logistics and international tourism.
