The President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev will present the highest state distinction "Madara Horseman" first degree to two foreign diplomats, it was officially announced by the press secretariat of the head of state.

The ceremony will take place at the presidency, with Ambassador Joel Meyer receiving the distinction at 10:00 AM, and Ambassador Simon van der Burg at 12:00 PM. The state recognition is awarded for significant contributions to bilateral relations between Bulgaria and the respective countries.

A similar ceremony was held at the end of March, when Rumen Radev honored the Ambassador of Vietnam Do Hoang Long with an identical state distinction. During the event in the Coat of Arms Hall, the head of state emphasized the long-standing friendly relations between the two countries.

During the official ceremony with the Vietnamese diplomat, the president expressed special gratitude for the active work of Ambassador Long. "Our relations are based on sincere friendship, mutual trust and respect," Rumen Radev stated.

The state distinction "Madara Horseman" first degree is awarded to diplomats who have contributed exceptionally to strengthening international relations and Bulgaria's prestige in the respective country.
