The caretaker government has allocated an additional 25 million euros to "Bulgarian Posts" EAD in the form of a revolving credit. The funds are to ensure the exchange of leva into euros in post offices and to meet the significant interest in exchange in these locations. This was announced by the government press service.

In the first week alone, approximately 30 million leva were exchanged in the network of "Bulgarian Posts" and requests for almost another 26 million leva were received. Calculations based on actual requests of over 1000 to 10,000 BGN to date show that a second additional financing is needed for working capital for the unimpeded performance of the service, the announcement states.

The paid financial assistance provided to the company will be repaid to the budget of the Ministry of Transport and Communications by September 30, 2026.
