The government is preparing to consider key measures at its meeting today, which will begin at 12:00 p.m., according to a statement from the government information service. Among the highlights is a program to compensate the costs of non-household end customers for electricity.
This program, planned for the period from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, aims to alleviate the financial burden on businesses. In addition, the program provides compensation for the operators of the electricity transmission and distribution networks. These compensations are intended to cover the costs of purchasing electricity used for technological needs, during the same period of time - from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
The Council of Ministers is expected to approve additional transfers to the municipalities' budgets for 2025. These funds are intended for the organization of transport from accommodation places to schools. The transport is necessary for children and students who benefit from temporary protection from Ukraine. This mechanism is provided for the period from September 15, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
In addition to these measures, the cabinet will discuss a draft amendment to the program "Scientific Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Intelligent Transformation" 2021-2027. This program is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and the state budget.
Also on the agenda is a draft amendment to the program "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" 2021-2027. It is also financed by the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union and the state budget.
