The government is adding 2,208,374 euros to the youth and sports ministry's budget for youth centres across Bulgaria. The money will fund projects already approved under the programme financing youth centres in Bulgaria for 2026–2028.
Officials say the funding will give the centres steady support and give young people equal chances to grow — whether they live in a big city or a small village.
The programme mainly targets young people from vulnerable groups and smaller towns, and encourages them to take part in public life. It will also back volunteering, various youth initiatives and social enterprise.
The plan is aimed at young people aged 15 to 29. The idea is to give them real chances to develop, take part in public life and contribute to it.
The ministry says the support for youth centres is part of its push to build a single, lasting youth policy in Bulgaria.
