The National Council of "We Continue the Change" (PP) has given a mandate to the Executive Council to conclude a coalition agreement with "Democratic Bulgaria" (DB) for the upcoming early parliamentary elections, announced PP chairman Asen Vasilev.

The agreement must be concluded by January 31st under certain conditions: maintaining the distribution of seats in the section election commissions and candidate lists from the October 2024 elections, excluding persons excluded from the coalition parties, and attracting civil society and young people.

PP will participate in the elections with the aim of dismantling the corruption model and guaranteeing freedom and justice, added Vasilev.

With the entry into the Eurozone, Bulgaria's integration into the EU is complete, and a discussion on the next national goals should begin. Vasilev emphasized the need for a strong social system, good education, and healthcare.

Internationally, he stressed the importance of the federalization of the EU, a common army, and strong defense. Vasilev also commented on the potential for losing funds under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Regarding the caretaker Prime Minister, Vasilev stated that the decision is up to the President and indicated support for Boyko Rashkov as Interior Minister. Regarding Rumen Radev, he said that PP had supported Radev when he pursued an anti-corruption policy, but had distanced themselves when his policy contradicted national interests.
