Fires in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours: 92 fires, one fatality

Over the last 24 hours, fire services in Bulgaria responded to 129 calls. 92 fires were extinguished, with 24 of them causing material damage. Unfortunately, there was one fatality in a car fire in Pomorie.

Over the past 24 hours, the units of the fire services in the country have responded to 129 reports of incidents and have extinguished 92 fires, the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" reports on its website.

24 of the fires resulted in direct material damage - 13 in residential buildings; four in auxiliary, temporary or makeshift buildings; three in vehicles; one in an outdoor facility and three others.

During a fire in a car near the "Europa" campsite, at the entrance to Pomorie, Burgas region, a 29-year-old woman died. The incident was extinguished with one fire truck from the fire department in Pomorie.

68 fires occurred without material damage - 20 in dry grass, forest litter and shrubs; two in stubble fields; 37 in waste; six in cooking appliances and chimneys and three others.

36 rescue operations and support operations were carried out, of which one was for a car accident; 32 for providing technical assistance, three for providing assistance to injured citizens. 

Over the last 24 hours, only one false call was made to the fire services.
