A total of 73 fires were extinguished in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" - Ministry of Interior.
Yesterday at 11:41 a.m. in the Operational Center at RDPBZN - Ruse, a report was received of an explosion and fire in a house in the city of Ruse. On the spot, the fire teams found that a room in a one-story house was on fire. An 80-year-old man was injured, who was slightly gassed. One of the rooms in the house with its adjoining furnishings, in which the fire had developed - about 10 sq. meters, was destroyed. The rest of the building was saved.
The fire departments responded to 107 reports of incidents in the last 24 hours.
17 fires occurred with direct material damage, of which eight - in residential buildings, three - in vehicles.
56 fires occurred without material damage, of which 21 - in dry grasses, forest litter and shrubs, 27 - in waste, seven - in cooking appliances and chimneys.
29 rescue activities and support operations were carried out, of which five were in traffic accidents in vehicles, 22 - as technical assistance with providing assistance in various situations, including assistance to injured people.
Five false calls were also registered.
