A large fire has engulfed a pine forest in the Dzhanavara area near the Asparuhovo neighborhood in Varna. Four firefighting teams have been dispatched to the scene.

Fire in Varna: Pine Forest Burns in Dzhanavara Area

A large fire has broken out in a pine forest in the area of "Dzhanavara" near the Varna neighborhood of "Asparuhovo", prompting a large-scale response from fire services. The incident occurred around 1:00 PM, and the thick smoke rising from the area was visible from afar, causing alarm among local residents.

The mayor of the "Asparuhovo" district, Ivaylo Marinov, immediately arrived at the scene to assess the situation and coordinate the authorities' actions. In an official statement to BNT, he confirmed the time the fire started.

Four firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene and immediately began battling the flames. Their efforts are focused on containing the fire and preventing it from spreading to residential areas. Fortunately, as of this report, there is no information about affected houses or injured people, which is a top priority for the rescue teams.

Firefighters are working in difficult terrain to contain the fire and prevent greater damage to the forest. Despite the challenges, the quick and adequate response of the authorities is crucial for containing the situation and protecting the lives and property of citizens in the area. The teams will remain on-site until the fire is completely extinguished and they are sure there is no danger of it reigniting.
