Heavy rains in the Pazardzhik region have led to rising river levels near the villages of Gelemenovo and Boshulya, announced the spokesperson for the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, Miroslav Stoyanov.
In the area of Gelemenovo, there is a large influx of water into the Telki dere, which has led to a partial breach of the dike and flooding of a yard. Agricultural areas near the "Trakia" highway have also been flooded.
Equipment has been brought in to prevent larger floods. There is no danger to the population, Stoyanov emphasized.
In the area of the village of Boshulya, water from an agricultural canal overflowed near the road. Teams from the "Traffic Police" are on site.
Activities are underway to drain the water in the two settlements.
