Police will step up traffic controls throughout the day, with more teams deployed on the roads. Traffic police officers will focus their attention on illegal maneuvers, speeding inappropriate for road signs and conditions, and instances of aggressive driving.
Tihomir Todorov of the traffic police at the General Directorate of National Police said additional teams would be deployed, including some in unmarked vehicles. He explained that these patrols would immediately pull any driver exhibiting aggressive behavior out of traffic when necessary.
