The fire near Stara Zagora is fully contained
The fire in the area of the Barite mine near Stara Zagora has been completely extinguished, the municipal administration announced. The fire affected about 500–600 decares of land with shrubs and low vegetation in difficult-to-access terrain.
Thanks to the timely reaction, there are no injured people, and no houses or material assets were damaged.
Who participated in extinguishing the fire?
- Seven teams from the Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection;
- Two teams from the State Forestry;
- A water tanker provided by the Municipality of Stara Zagora;
- Volunteers from the "Brother for a Brother" association and local citizens.
At the moment, one fire brigade team remains on site as a preventive measure to monitor the area. The situation is under full control.
