Half a year after the ATV incident in the center of Sunny Beach, in which a woman died and her child was seriously injured, the case has still not entered the court.

We recall that on August 14, Nikola Burgazliev, in whose blood traces of marijuana were found after the accident, lost control of the powerful buggy and mowed down the family, who were walking on the sidewalk, NOVA reports.

5 people were injured, including 35-year-old Hristina, who died after a month in a coma, and her son - 4-year-old Martin - survived, but has 100% TEOK (Medical Assessment Committee).

The prosecutor's office announced that the pre-trial proceedings have already ended. However, Burgazliev's defense is doing everything possible and using all legal mechanisms to delay the moment of the materials entering the courtroom. Their next move is today, when a change in the measure of detention will be requested. For now, the perpetrator is with a permanent measure "detention".

"The pre-trial proceedings have ended and before the New Year they presented us with the materials, but there is no specific date when the trial will be. Marti is recovering slowly and has a TEOK decision of 100% for 1 year. He goes to a speech therapist and rehabilitation three times a week, and so far the doctors say that he is developing well," Julian Zdravkov, a relative of the victims, said.

Zdravkov's daughter was also injured in the incident. He noted that neither she nor Marti have memories of the moment of the tragedy.
